Starting my Study Abroad in Japan Experience!

First of all I would like to say Happy Holidays to everyone!!! I hope Santa brought you what you really wanted, and you enjoyed time with friends and family. I had a great Christmas with my family and had my friend, a study abroad student from Japan, staying with me also! During her time with me, we made a video discussing studying abroad from Japan to America and vice versa. She spoke from the p.o.v of someone who is already studying abroad, and I spoke from p.o.v. of someone in the planing stages.

So in this video we just wanted to try and address any concerns or feelings that either side may have when studying abroad! In my honest opinion, I can't even imagine how different my college experience would have been/would be had I not met some AMAZING people who chose to study abroad at my school. I hope I can still feel the same way once I'm the one who get's to study abroad (& honestly I think I will lol). I don't want to do too much talking *typing* because I know the video itself is pretty lengthy and detailed!

On another note, having my friend with me was a great experience for both of us! We wanted to share some pictures of our time together in hopes that even if you chose to not study abroad, maybe you will allow your home to be a home stay location for exchange/study abroad students!!

Oh just some Japanese grocery shopping going on ^^

& to the right we made dinner together for the family! (Yaki Soba!)

Taking pictures while listening to BigBang..our usual routine lol.

& Finally spending the holidays with my whole family!

So thanks reading and watching! I hope for those of you who were confused or skeptical on studying abroad, this post helped you out somewhat! Enjoy the rest of your holidays!

My First Pair of Circle Lens!

Yayyyyyy for circle lenses!

Recently I received my first pair of circle lenses from Pinkyparadise. com and I decided to do a review on them. I got the Geo Angel Brown circle lens and I have to say I really like them! I was a little hesitant at first because all the pictures of people I've seen with circle lenses have these REALLY wide dolly eyes and I definitely didn't want that look. Also, to be quite honest I've never seen any African Americans wearing any so there was hesitation number 1 right there lol.

So I took the plunge thanks to the help of my friend Jana, and ordered a pair. I didn't want to put something in my eye that I had no knowledge about so I made sure I spent some time researching first (ALWAYS DO YOUR RESEARCH!). I ordered my lenses on December 1, and received them on December 5. I paid priority shipping ($15.00) so they came a little faster than normal being that the company is based in Malaysia. I soaked them for 12 hours before I wore them for the first time. In the beginning, maybe the first 2 minutes, they kind of felt weird in my eyes since the size was 14.2mm (my normal ones are 14.0, but I got used to it within 5 minutes at the most. I wore them for a total of 14 hours and then took them off (it was a LONNNNGGG night). I have to say that within 15 minutes of being in public I had compliments from a number of people, who couldn't figure out what was different about me but said I looked cute :)

I wasn't able to get full sunlight base pictures because there has been like little to no sunlight this weekend but I did get pictures in different lighting settings. Overall I would give these contacts a 9/10 on comfortability. I can not give a full 10 because around the 8 hour mark my eyes did to start to hurt but I don't know if it was because I was tired or not. When I did put them back in 30 minutes after that 8 hour mark my eyes were a little better. Appearance wise I give them a 10/10. I LOVE the way they look on me!! It's a subtle difference but it's enough for me. Definitely will be wearing these lenses a whole lot more!

Check out my video for a look at my review :)

Now here are some photos, enjoy!

Introduction!

IT'S MY BIRTHDAY!

Well, technically it's my blog's birthday ^_^

This will be my first official blog post on here and I'm really excited! It's going to take me some time to figure out how this whole thing works but I'm pretty sure when I do, I won't be able to stop lol. So just to give you a brief overview, I'll introduce myself!

My name is Susan and I'm a college student. I'm really into hair and beauty so you'll see a lot of posts from me on those topics. I'm also a HUGE Japanese drama and Korean culture fan and will be living abroad (soon hopefully) so expect posts on that as well :) I'll try and posts on here often but I have to figure out what I'm doing first so bare with me lol. I also have a youtube channel so check me out sometime!?

ありがとうございますみな!

See ya in the next one :)
